The default position for most people is to trust others until something tells us otherwise. We trust the business we are dealing with to remain solvent during our transactions, we trust the sales person to tell us the truth about the product, we trust the Chinese restaurant to follow food hygiene standards as they prepare our meal. It’s only when we get evidence to the contrary that we stop trusting them.

It’s the same in our relationships at home and work. We trust those around us until they give us a reason to not trust them.

The easiest way to ensure that we keep that trust is to just don’t be a d!ck….or cow. Include people, listen to their story and empathise with their plight. That is the connection we crave in this connection economy.

As always I’d love your thoughts on this here.
Cheers,

Darren
